About the Founder
Built by a Warrior. Driven by Purpose.
Jesse White is a retired military veteran, founder of Spartan Protection KC, and the man behind Battlefield Academy KC — a lifelong dream to give every person the tools and confidence to defend themselves.
The Story
From the Battlefield to Kansas City
Jesse White is a retired military veteran who dedicated years of his life to serving his country. After his service, he returned to Kansas City with the skills, discipline, and drive to build something lasting — a security and personal protection company rooted in the same values that carried him through his military career.
Spartan Protection KC was built on that foundation — a professional firm offering elite security and personal protection services to individuals, businesses, and events across the Kansas City metro. Every engagement is treated as a mission. Every client is protected like family.
But Jesse always dreamed of more. He always dreamed of having an academy — a place where everyday people could come to learn how to defend themselves. That dream became Battlefield Academy KC, a nonprofit training academy open to all ages and all backgrounds. Because Jesse believes that the right to protect yourself should never be out of reach.

Off Duty
The Man Behind the Mission
When Jesse isn't running security details or teaching at the Academy, you'll find him doing exactly what he built all of this for — spending time with his kids.
Jesse is a dad first. Everything else — the military career, the security company, the nonprofit academy — it all flows from that. He wants his children to grow up in a world where they feel safe, capable, and confident. And he wants that for every family in Kansas City too.
That father-son moment you see in these photos? That's not a photo op. That's Tuesday. Jesse believes the best way to teach safety is to live it — at home, at the range, and in the community. His kids are learning the same discipline and respect for firearms that he teaches every student at Battlefield Academy KC.
He'll tell you the toughest mission he's ever been on isn't in a security brief — it's raising good humans. And he's all in on that one too.
"I always dreamed of having an academy where people could learn to defend themselves. Now I get to share that with my own kids too."
— Jesse White, Founder & President
